Serve chilled as an aperitif or with your favourite dessert or cheese platter.Viticultural notes The fruit for our Late Harvest Viognier was grown in the Ballandean district of the Granite Belt. Viognier is a French Rhone variety that produces a crisp wine which has great complexity, richness and character. The grapes were picked later than usual in the season allowing the natural sugars to become more concentrated, creating a sweeter style wine. In the 1960’s the grape was endangered and almost extinct. This has since turned around as the popularity of the wine has grown. Winemaking notes The concentrated sugars in the late harvest Viognier grapes meant that after fermentation was completed, there was residual sugar in the wine creating a sweeter, stickier style.
