Our first encounter with Lauren (she is lovingly known as Ren) is reminiscent of old friends reuniting after years and picking up where they left off as if no time had passed. We knew immediately that she was going to join our crew. She has an incredible way of making you feel at home as her friendly and relaxed nature is warm and comforting. Her love of all things wine is captivating and it’s easy to lose track of time when you listen to her share her passion. Ren has an extensive knowledge of wine as she and her husband Sam lived in Paris for a year and travelled the old-world wine regions, learning and tasting the different varieties before returning back to Tamborine Mountain, Australia to settle down. She has just started her Masters of Oenology at Charles Sturt University, completing her studies externally while being hands on in the winery. In her spare time, Ren and Sam enjoy indulging in gourmet food and wine and spending time exploring the local gems on the mountain.
