“...great wine requires a mad man to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, a lucid poet to make it, and a lover to drink it” – Salvador Dali.
The final (and by far the most important) stage in our winemaking process lies with each and every visitor that makes their way through our Cellar Door. Be it that you are an apprentice to the complex and magical world of wine, or a seasoned and knowledgeable veteran to its ways, our staff are well-equipped to provide you with an exceptional wine tasting experience that allows you to feel a part of this dynamic and enchanting microcosm of modern-day winemaking.
Please note: We do not have a restaurant, and cannot offer full meals. We do however have a wide selection of locally-made cheeses and artisanal produce which you can use to build the perfect cheese platter to accompany your wines. Browse our menu here.
We understand that tasting our wine makes up most of the fun here at Cellar Door, which is why we are remaining open and operating under normal business hours. In accordance with Witches Falls' in-house policy, tastings must take place whilst guests are seated.
Being able to watch the physical processes involved in wine-making as they unfold is a unique and precious aspect of our Cellar Door experience; as we are the only working winery on the mountain and the Gold Coast.
You may choose to have your tasting inside Cellar Door, which will allow you to observe the daily workings of the winery through the large glass windows whilst you enjoy our selection. Alternatively, if unwinding amidst the grape vines and the beautiful hinterland nature sounds more your style, we can seat you on one of our outdoor tables.
As it tends to get quite chilly on the Mountain during winter, we recommend you dress for colder temperatures, and make sure to bring a jumper!
Ensuring that we cater to the needs of every visitor is integral to the way we operate here at Witches, which is why we offer a choice of two tasting flights.
the platinum flight:
$10 per head. The Platinum Flight includes six tasting pours and permits freedom of choice between all of the wines we have to offer (excluding any members' only wines)
Our members are entitled to complementary tasting, and may choose from our complete selection. To find out how to become a member, see here.
Build your own deluxe cheese board from our selection of our own locally-made Jambreen cheeses. Have a browse of our selection here.
At present, we are currently unable to allow guests to bring their own picnic, and all food must be purchased on-site.
